What's Happening in the Real Estate Market?
Conor Brown has been CEO of NorthWest Illinois Alliance of REALTORS® for almost four years. Under his leadership, the Belvidere Board of REALTORS® and REALTOR® Association of Northwestern Illinois merged with Rockford Area REALTORS®. As part of the newly combined association, Brown led a major rebranding effort bringing forward the NorthWest Illinois Alliance of REALTORS®. Prior to being CEO, he was Government Affairs Director for Illinois REALTORS®, serving a large portion of Northern Illinois for 12 years.
He currently chairs the Illinois REALTORS® Association Executive Working Group and is a REALTOR® Political Action Committee (RPAC) Trustee. He also serves on the National Association of REALTORS® Land Use, Property Rights, and Environment Committee.
Locally, he serves on the Board of Directors for Rockford Area Economic Development Council and Growth Dimensions.
Conor earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in political economy from Hillsdale College. He and his family live in Rockford.
Conor will talk about the merging of three organizations into the current NorthWest Illinois Alliance of Realtors and also discuss the current state of affairs in the Real Estate market locally and in general. This will be an informative and interesting program about a subject that touches us all in some way or another. It will be an excellent opportunity to bring a guest or prospective member to join us at Memorial Hall or via Zoom. Teri Watts will introduce our presenter and act as Rotary Host.
