Global Scholars Press Conference & Committee Meetings
A press conference is scheduled at noon at Memorial Hall. Chairs will be setup, so we want as many Rockford Rotarians as possible to attend and show our support for the two Global Scholars. There will be a few district representatives there including, Craig DeVrieze who is coordinating the conference, Laura Davis who is chair of the Scholarship Committee, DG Melissa McCormick, and DRFC Laura Kann.
The press conference is highlighting the two Global Scholars sponsored by the District who are outbound this year.
Kiki Fisher is from Hononegah High School and Bradley University will be attending the University of Crete Medical School in Greece to pursue a Master of Science in Forensic Medicine, Anthropology, and Imaging.
Mohammed Salem is from Auburn High School and will be attending the University of Oxford in England to pursue a Master of Science in Health System Evaluation and Improvement.
We encourage our members to attend the press conference and then go to our regular meeting which will be committee meetings. Committee chairs will notify their members if a meeting will be held. As always lunches will be available for $12. Give your lunch money to Monica.
