District Governor Annual Visit
District Governor David Bills has been a member of the River Cities Rotary Club for 21 years. The River Cities Club includes members from 6 river communities - Hampton, Rapids City, Port Byron, Cordova, Albany, and Hillsdale, hence the obvious choice for the club name. The club meets at 7:15 AM on Tuesdays at the Brothers Restaurant in Rapids City. David served as club President during the 2012-13 Rotary year. In addition the the year as President, David served the District as Assistant Governor of Area 9 from 2014-2017, and as Assistant Governor of Area 8 from 2018-2020.
David spent 42 years in public school education as a Teacher, Coach, Athletic Director, High School Principal, and 18 years as a School Superintendent. After retirement, he spent 8 more years as a part-time School Business Manager.
David has been married to Sandee for 49 years. They have 3 successful children and 6 grandchildren between the ages of 6 and 12.
David will talk to us about the goals of Rotary International for this Rotary year and what he hopes to accomplish this year as District Governor. And of course, he will spend some time telling us what he expects from Rockford Rotary this year.
We would encourage our members to make an effort to attend this meeting either in person at Memorial Hall or via Zoom. It is also an excellent opportunity to bring a guest or prospective member. PDG Kathy Kwiat-Hess will introduce our presenter and act as Rotary host.
