New Member - Doug Mark
 
     Doug Mark joined Fitzgerald Funeral Home in October 2017. He has over 30 years of sales, marketing, and management experience.  He was raised in Rockford graduating from Guilford High School and attended Rock Valley College and Illinois State University.
     Doug has been very active in the Rockford Community and served the City of Rockford as Alderman of the 3rd Ward from 2001-2013.  He has been active in several neighborhood organizations and city commissions over the years.  Doug has served on many Boards including Rock River Development Partnership, Rockford Dance Company, Boylan Booster Club, Coronado Performing Arts Board, Rock Valley Red Cross, Arthritis Foundation, Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful and The Rockford Area Arts Council. 
     He was also involved in the Scouting program at St. Peters Pack 37 as Scout Leader for several years.  He was the recipient of the Heart of Rockford Award for Commitment by an Individual 2005 and the Mayor’s Arts Award Winner as “Arts Advocate by an Individual" in 2008.
     Doug is a member of the Cathedral of St. Peter where he serves in the music ministry as a cantor. Doug and his wife Sally have six children and 4 grandchildren.
