The Not So familiar Aspects of Girl Scouts
Lynn Momberger, Director of Development & Community Engagement, Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois. Her work experience includes both manufacturing and the service sectors; for profit and notfor-profit. Currently with Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois since 2013. Before Girl Scouts, Lynn was Director of Development at Discovery Center Museum for five years. Prior to her career in fundraising Lynn spent 15 years in executive search and recruiting for the Furst Group in Rockford where she recruited several professionals for the not-for profit sector.
Lynn serves on the board of directors for Northern Illinois Planned Giving Council (NIPGC), serving as Secretary, and is a member of the Rockford Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, serving on the National Philanthropy Day Committee. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Northern Illinois University.
Her presentation is “NOT Your Momma’s Girl Scouts – The Not So Familiar Aspects of Girl Scouts”. I will talk about our outreach troops for underserved girls, the GSUSA STEM Initiative, Girl Scouts in this time of Covic-19, and other Girl Scout topics.
This will be our second Zoom Meeting with a presenter. We would encourage all of our members to join us at noon on Thursday, May 7th for our regular Zoom meeting.
