
Drugs in Our City - Are There Solutions?
Dr. Ray Garcia was chosen to lead Rosecrance's medical services as Chief Medical Officer on January 1st of this year.
In his new role. Dr. Garcia will be responsible for ensuring that all programs are aligned, and that the quality of care provided is of the highest standard.
Dr. Garcia, who previously held the position of Senior Vice President of Medical Services, has been with Rosecrance for 13 years and carries 25 years of experience i n the behavioral health field. He is a certified psychiatrist with expertise in addition medicine and has worked closely with patients in the first responder and veterans residential program located in Rockford. Dr. Garcia has also served as a faculty member at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago and Rockford, where he was recently honored for his 25 years of service.

Not only will Dr. Garcia build upon the best-in-class treatment provided by Rosecrance, he will work to improve our organization's standing in the education sector and ensure we are implementing best practices to continue to provide our clients with the best care possible," said Dave Gomel, Ph.D., President and CEO of Rosecrance. "His clinical expertise and his understanding of our organization will help us to operate smoothly, efficiently, and at the highest level."
As his topic indicates, Dr. Garcia will discuss the problem of drugs in our city and what he feels are the best solutions to combat this problem.
