Pathway to Publishing

Mary Ann Presman is an author of short stories and a playwright, retired after a long career as an advertising copywriter, radio disk jockey, and TV weather person.  She is nurtured by two writing groups -- one in Tucson and the other in galena, Illinois.
Her collection of short stories, "The Good Dishes", was published by Adelaide Books in Spring 2019.  Several of those stories were published in various literary journals beforehand.
Mary Ann  also co-authored "Curse? There Ain't No Stinkin' Chicago Cubs Curse" with her friend and neighbor, Jamey Wolfe.
She has lived in Rockford since she was a year old, and met her husband while moonlighting as a d. j. at WRWC, where Bob Presman was a full-time employee, spinning records AND more importantly, covering high school and college sports.  Her first job, at age 15, was as a "page" at Rockford's Southeast Branch Library, where she was paid 70-centys an hour to shelve books.
Mary Ann is currently at work on a collection of short stories all linked by a fictional public library.
She will take us on her particular, though not unusual, "Pathway to Publishing".
This will be an entertaining and informative look into the world of writing and publishing.  It will also be an excellent opportunity to invite a guest or prospective member to join us.  Simply forward the zoon meeting information to them.
May Ann Norwood will introduce our presenter.
