Linda Johnson - 2021-22 President

On September 16th, District Governor David Bills visited the club. As part of his visit, he officially inducted Linda Johnson as our Club President for 2021/22. Linda previously served as our Club President during 2016-17.
Because Rotary International requires that every club president attend their District President-Elect Training Seminar before serving, only a past-president could serve our club for 2021-22. When asked by the Board to serve, Linda accepted.
Prior to joining the Rotary Club of Rockford in 2005, Linda served (2002-2005) the first 3 years of our Rotary Academy as West Middle School's teacher advisor. Upon joining the Club, Linda agreed to Chair the Rotary Academy Committee and has been instrumental in successfully establishing strong Academy and Rotary Club ties with the RPS 205 administration, middle schools and our community partners during our Academy's 19 years.
Linda has also volunteered with many of our club service projects, co-chaired the 2019 District Conference, co-chaired our clubs' participation in the Rotary International Presidential Model UN/2018 in South Chicago and has attended several Rotary International Conventions.
Linda has proven to be an excellent leader and we look forward to having her serve as President again. We are confident that our Club will have a productive, fulfilling and of course FUN 21-22 year.
