Woodstock 1969: 50 Years of Legacy

Dr. Catherine Forslund is the Isabel Ross Abbott Professor of History and Women's Studies and Chair of the History, Politics and International Studies Department at Rockford University.  She joined Rockford University in 2000.
She received her Doctorate in Modern United Stats and U.S. Diplomatic History from Washington University in St. Louis.
Dr. Forslund's latest publication is a chapter on Edith Kermit Roosevelt titled "Modern Victorian First Lady" in A Companion to First Ladies, edited by Katherine A. S. Sibley.
Her program is titled "Woodstock 1969: 50 Years of Legacy".  It is obviously a look back at Woodstock and what it meant to the world.  Just for fun, we would encourage members to come dressed in late 60's/early 70's attire.  There might even be a prize for the best outfit.  This will be an excellent opportunity to bring a guest or prospective member.  Helen Hill will introduce our presenter and act as Rotary host.
