Membership Growth for a Sustainable Future of Creating Lasting Impact
John Hewco, RI CEO, explained at PETS this year that Rotary in the western world, including North America, has a membership crisis – we’re at a crossroads. The time to be innovative and revolutionary is now. Rotary is changing….Rotary isn’t a one size fits all. Many people aren’t willing to pay the time and money for the club experience we traditionally have offered. Or they join and it isn’t what they expected. We must change to meet the market.
On 6/29 several members of our club attended a Membership webinar, “Membership Growth is NOT an Accident” by Tom Gump, Rotary International Director & Bobbi Burke, District 6420 Membership Chair. The webinar covered retention and attraction so that we can continue impacting our communities for years to come.
President-Elect Mary Maxted Membership Chair Linda Niemiec will share information from the webinar and from our strategic planning session to lead a discussion about innovative ways we can retain and attract members that want to Create Lasting Impact in our communities, across the globe, and in ourselves.
This will be an opportunity to bring a guest or prospective member to join us in person at Memorial Hall or via Zoom. President-Elect Mary will be filling in for President Paul and running the meeting in addition to leading the discussion and acting as Rotary Host.
