Claire Gierat has been a member of the Belvidere Rotary Club since 1999. During this time she has served as vice president, president elect, and president. She has been on the board of directors for over 19 years and has chaired all committees with the Club, and is currently their Foundation Chair. She has a position as Paul Harris Society Coordinator for Rotary District 6420. She is a Paul Harris Fellow+, and a pledged member of the Paul Harris Society.
She is semi-retired and works part time for the firm that purchased their accounting business in 1999. She has been in the accounting business for 43 years. She is a past president of the Independent Accountant Association of Illinois, Northern Illinois Accountants, and American Society of Women Accountants, all Rockford Chapters. Claire has two grown daughters and one 12 year old granddaughter.
