December 19th was our Annual Holiday Meeting which featured the Rockford Music Academy plus a visit from Santa Claus.
Before the program we got a visit from a rather slim Santa Claus who bore a slight resemblance to John Torrence.
Our guests included President Mike's daughter Gabrielle Foreman and her boyfriend Cooper Linden.
Liz Dickinson introduced her guest Susan Carlin who is the widow of Taylor Carlin.
Our own Laura Eakman gave a presentation on the Music Academy and some of its programs.
The musical portion of the program continued with Laura on viola and Blakeley Menghini on violin performing duets of a classical piece and then a lovely rendition of "Oh Holy Night".
Then we had the Lamn family with Father Brandon who is on the faculty of the Music Academy and played the violin; Mother Hannah who plays with the Rockford Symphony Orchestra and also plays the violin and home schools their four children; Lizzie who plays the guitar; Elowen who plays the cello; Griffin who plays the violin; and youngest Farrin who also plays the violin; accompany us for a sing-a-long on several Christmas carols and also performed a couple of instrumentals.

It was a wonderful and fun program, and we thank Laura for putting it together for us. We would also like to thank Blakeley and the Lamn family for helping us get in the holiday spirit.
