My Excellent Convention Experience & 
Other Exciting Stuff.
 
     Alan Gibby spent his active working career in education as a teacher, coach, administrator, and Headmaster in the independent school world. Having served schools in Connecticut, Kansas City, MO., Pennsylvania, Texas, South and North Carolina,
     Alan arrived in Rockford as Head at Keith Country Day School in 2009. When he left the school world in 2013, he did advancement work for Shelter Care Ministries, a non-profit dedicated to helping adults with chronic mental illness and families who were homeless.
     Full retirement arrived in December 2018, and he finds himself busy and active with various projects and non-profits. He serves on the Board of Trustees at The Science & Arts Academy, the Vestry at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, and is a consultant with NICNE, and also volunteers with KNIB, CFNIL, Golden Apple Foundation, Shelter Care, and other local non-profits.
     He is looking forward to this year serving as Rockford Rotary’s President.
     Alan will give a brief overview of the Rotary International Convention held in Hamburg.  He will take a look at his goals for this year and talk about an interesting adventure he has this summer.
     This will be a most interesting and informative program.  It will be an excellent opportunity to bring a guest or prospective member.
