Our January 19th program will be "All About the Ice Hogs".

     David Costello is in his second season with the Rockford IceHogs and currently serves as the Manager of Marketing, Digital Content, and Community Relations. In his role, David oversees the external marketing for the IceHogs as well as the development of digital content for the team’s website and social media platforms. In his community relations role, David leads the strategic plan for fundraising efforts for the IceHogs Community Fund, supported by the Chicago Blackhawks Foundation, and helps coordinate the organization’s community appearances and donation requests.

     Prior to the IceHogs, David worked in Public Relations and Marketing for Rock Valley College for nearly 15 years, and his career began in sports as he worked in Public Relations and Marketing for seven years with two affiliated Minor League Baseball teams in Rockford and Beloit.

     David is a lifelong resident of the 8-1-5, was born and raised in Rockford, and currently resides in Roscoe with his wife Becky and their son Elliott (5).

     This will be a fun and interesting program and a chance to bring a prospective member or guest to join us in person at Memorial Hall or via Zoom.

     Pete Rundquist will introduce our presenter and act as Rotary Host. 

 

     Rockford Rotary will be having a social event on January 21st at the Rockford Ice Hogs game at the BMO.

     Pete Rundquist has 16 more tickets for the game at 7:00 PM.  Members can contact and pay him for the tickets at runky907@comcast.net.

     We will be going out to dinner before the game at Embassy Suites Bar.  We will meet for dinner around 5:45 PM.

 

     Our February 9th meeting will be a service project.  We are going to sing and maybe decorate Valentine cards for all of the residents at River Bluff.

     This should be a lot of fun since we will be able to get to know other Rotarians at your table.

 

     The Rotary Academy Final Celebration is returning.  It will take place on Tuesday May 2nd starting at 6:00 PM at Tebala Event Centre.  The meal will be catered by Perfectly Seasoned.
