Since it was founded more than 100 years ago, the Foundation has spent more than $4 billion on life-changing, sustainable projects. With your help, we can make lives better in your community and around the world.
The Rotary Foundation helps Rotary members to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace by improving health, providing quality education, improving the environment, and alleviating poverty.
Bob Canfield is our club's Rotary Foundation chair and will talk about the some of the various programs and projects that the Rotary Foundation is involved with.
Bob joined Rockford Rotary on June 8, 2020, and served as the 101st President during the 2012-13 Rotary year. He has remained active since then in various capacities including "unofficial Legal Counsel". Bob graduated from Guilford High School and the University of Minnesota. He served his country as a helicopter pilot during the Viet Nam conflict. He is the Senior Partner at Canfield & MeKenna, a local law firm.
This will be a chance to learn about the Rotary Foundation and an excellent opportunity to bring a guest or prospective member to learn about the good things that Rotary does to make this a better world. Elise Cadigan will introduce our speaker and act as Rotary host.
