Project Search

As Employment Services Manager for RAMP, Jeremy oversees the job readiness, job development and case management, including peer support and mentoring for individuals with disabilities getting into or returning to the workforce.  One of the newest programs developed overseen by Jeremy is PROJECT SEARCH a school-to-work transition program for students with disabilities housed entirely at Mercyhealth Hospital-Rockton Avenue.  PROJECT SEARCH was among 21 community collaboration programs receiving the Confluence Award at the Rockford Chamber of Commerce's 2107 Confluence Honors event.

PROJECT SEARCH partners include RAMP CIL, Mercyhealth, Belvidere School District and the Illinois Department of Vocational Recreation. Students selected for the program worked in three internships over the course of one year, receiving classroom instruction and hands-on training, including goal setting and career exploration. Each student was supported by a team that included their family, an instructor, a department mentor, rehabilitation counselor and skills trainers to create an employment goal and to support their transition from school to work.
