Past President Linda Johnson introduced out newest member of Rockford Rotary, Martha Miller Byrnes.  If the name sounds familiar, she is the wife of our next President, David Byrnes.

Martha Miller Byrnes is Manager, Special Events, for Alzheimer's Association's Rockford office. During her career, Martha has been a writer/editor, public relations or marketing professional for many organizations including Rockford College and Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful.

She was raised in the New England shoreline town of Clinton, CT.  A Gold Award Girl Scout, she was in the third coeducational class at Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA, earning her bachelor's in English.

Martha and David met when both worked at Salem College, Salem WV. She also studied journalism and higher education administration at West Virginia University. She serves as Regent of Rockford Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution and volunteers at Midway Village Museum. David and Martha have been married 36 years.

They have a grown son and twin daughters, a daughter- and a son-in-law, and one granddaughter (so far!)

We encourage everyone to meet Martha and welcome her to Rockford Rotary.
